Continuing education requirements
To remain registered, a calmbirth® practitioner’s continuing education must be verified as appropriately completed and relevant to the work of a practitioner each year. This means that the practitioner must:
- Engage in relevant on-going study,
- Document this study in her PERSONAL PROFILE of CONTINUING EDUCATION and
- Maintain the PROFILE for five years for “random audit” verification by the register.
Educational attainment is measured on a points (continuing education points or CEPs) system whereby the practitioner must gain a minimum of 10 continuing education points per year. Strategies for gaining these points are provided in the table below.

| Investigating and writing up an issue of concern for yourself or a client and making this outline available for other practitioners to read. | 2 points |
