The calmbirth® practitioner’s professional education
Basic education
For admission to the calmbirth® practitioner training, participants must have......
- Competency in English language reading, writing and verbal communication
- Acceptance of principles underpinningcalmbirth®
- Sound knowledge of birth anatomy and physiology
The register admits any practitioner who has (1) completed a basic calmbirth® course and (2) is judged to have achieved a minimum standard of excellence on completion of the course. Both requirements of entry to the register are determined by the information provided by the applicant on the application form. Evidence from the original calmbirth® course will be required and the course will be contacted to verify this evidence. Applicants who are found to be ineligible for entry into the register will be advised about strategies for up grading their profile in order to gain entry.
